People, I'm not about to ignore official material released by the developers clearly intended to be used in some way. The last two are scans taken from the pamphlet from the live in makuhari album. They've released this official material, and I even have proof. There were some even complaining 'why are you hyped for a concert with two screens pretending to be the characters' along with complaints that 'it isn't live' because their vocals are pre-recorded. I mean, you should expect such a thing, what with these things literally only in japan (and people are surprised why they don't come to the west and here's why) but the amount of people calling me outright stupid or pretending i'm lesser because i was slipping in lyrics from their actual translations and you've got snobs going 'i thought i heard club something' or 'look i've translated squid language from a squid kid game' in the chat was literally insane. This time, it wouldn't have mattered if I were on Yt or Twitch and I chose the latter since better stream quality. Since it's anonymous, you'd only tell it was me since I was using english. So in the Japan concert (the Switzerland concert liked to pretend it never happened because it was a copy so when Callie mentioned 'last concert' I was grinning on all ends because she's wrong, their last concert was in Japan, not the game) I was in the Splatoon stream so as to not get kicked out and slipped in lyrics. I first did so ever with the Live in Makuhari album, which before that only City of Colour, Calamari Inkantation and Ink Me Up had lyrics on the internet. Once they're romanised, it's just a matter of listening to the song over and over noticing where the syllables go. I first did so for Splatoon 2 in December last year when I received Splatune 2 for the OtH songs and I've been fixing those along with the Squisters's ones ever since. So lately, I've taken up to translating these. The phonetic translation, so you too could make your own remixes or sing along if you so wanted. It's what the singers sing in the actual songs. I wish I translated them.īut my Japanese (syllable knowledge anyway) has a USE somewhere! The lyrics in the booklets provided with the osts (Live in Makuhari and Splatune 2 for myself) are rendered in Japanese kana. No spicy calamari inkantation and fresh start don't have lyrics. ( I've edited all the inkipedia articles ( /wiki/Splatune_ 2_(Splatoon_2_Original_Soundtrack) #Lyrics … /wiki/Splatune_ (Splatoon_Original_Soundtrack) #Lyrics … /wiki/Splatoon_ Live_in_Makuhari #Lyrics …) and I have two of the soundtracks, with all the currently released lyrics for all the Splatoon songs released so far from the idols. I've released a video on my youtube channel. That's not why I feel sick mentally though. It felt good to see the bits they cut away from before in the Japan stream, but whatever. The same video, same beats, same movements. So at least I know what they were saying in the Japan concert. But what was really nice was the concert's text was English! For the first time, a concert's intervals were rendered in English. I felt sick throughout today, and consequently this'll be the last thing I put up before I go sleep. I wouldn't mind if it was uploaded somewhere. at least the music sounded better remixed.
